Default Does the Bible give warnings to non-Catholic Christians?

The Bible is a book full of great teachings from Cover to Cover.

But does it give warnings that are meant to apply to non-Catholic Christians?

IF So; what might they include?

Let's talk about it,

God Bless,
Pat

Jesus said "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd" John 10:16

The Scripture tells us to beware of teachers of false doctrine:

If any man come to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the house nor say to him, God speed you. (2 John 1:10)

This applies to the Orthodox, Anglicans, Protestants, and other groups who claim the name "Christian." They all teach false doctrine and Catholics should not be seduced by their vain reasonings.

I totally disagree with what you said, the Bible gives warnings for those who do not have fatih in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. To put the above groups in that defination is very
anti-Christian of you.

It is true we should not listen to some ideas from Protestantism because the Catholic Church has the fullness of the faith and truth. But to say they are not Christians is totally wrong! Protestants are Christians, just as Catholics are Christians too.

It's interesting how some Catholics and some Protestants cite the same verses to prove that their 'tribe' is right and the other(s) wrong. "Pride goeth before destruction." That's in the Bible, too. So are 'Judge not" and "Blessed are the meek."

This claim that only one church is right and all the rest wrong - in my view - is contrary to what should be an ecumenical spirit among Christians. God is truth, and that's enough for me. Most of the dogmas that has been codified over the centuries are attempts to derive specific doctrines from theology. Fine. But I personally regard them as man-made. Christians are not saved by doctrines or church affiliation but by our simple faith in Christ and his redeeming love.

Do you intend to use them as warnings to other Christians?

If so, it's probably pointless unless you're looking to create some mutual resentment.

Any pre-conceived outlooks on Christianity can be read into those verses. It isn't much of a warning if you don't think the danger exists.

The NT indicates that salvation comes only in the name of Jesus -- there is no name under heaven by which men are saved.

That's a warning in a positive, uplifting way.

There is a sort of parallel story in numbers in which some Israelites rebelled against Moses and tried to give offerings even though they lacked the permission of Moses to do so. MOst of those who followed were killed. I guess that might count.

Praise God it's TRUE, BUT are you aware dear friend that it is a VERY incomplte messgae. The Bible has MANY pages and MANY teachings. One MAY NOT simply isolate them to reach a favorable conclusion.

It is simply foolish and idealistic to think that God did "it all" and all we have to do is believe. That is a GRAVE and FALSE understanding. Salvation is a muti-step process that REQUIRES our assent and full obedience to ALL that the Bibe declairs.

Take Up your Cross and Follow Me
Phil.2: 8
“And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross Luke.9 :23 And he said to all, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Mark.8: 34 And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Luke.9: 23 And he said to all, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke.14: 7 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.”

1Pet.4: 13 ” But rejoice in so far as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.

1Pet.5: 1, 9 “So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ as well as a partaker in the glory that is to be revealed. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world.”

Phil.1: 29 “For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, “

2Thes.1: 5 “This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering “

Heb. 2: 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering."

WARNINGS ISSUED

Romans 2: 4-6 Or do you presume upon the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience? Do you not know that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But by your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed. For he will render to every man according to his works:

Romans 12: 1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Romans 13: 1-4 “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of him who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; he is the servant of God to execute his wrath on the wrongdoer.”

Romans 16: 17-18 “I appeal to you, brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.”

God Bless,

Never forget that Jesus Founded a New Covenant, Put Peter ALONE as the Holder of the Key's to heaven, and that God Protects ONLY the trachings of His CC Mt. 16:15-19; Mt. 18:18; Mt. 10:1-8, Mt. 28:16-20, John 14:16-17, john 17:15-19 and John 20:19-23

God Bless,
Pat
